Red Tag Code of Conduct

Purpose

Welcome to the Red Tag Fly Fishers’ Code of Conduct. Our goal is to create a positive and inclusive environment for all our members. As a community, we value respectful and appropriate behaviour across our diverse membership. We welcome members regardless of gender identity, age, race, culture, religion, sexual orientation or ability and seek to ensure all members experience Red Tag as a safe place. We have developed this code of conduct to outline the expected standards of behaviour. By adhering to this code of conduct, you contribute to a welcoming and friendly fly-fishing community where members are treated fairly and with respect. 

Scope

Our social media apps (for example, Team App, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) are essential for internal communication and connecting with the public. Whether engaging with fellow club members in person, participating in online events, or using social media platforms, this code of conduct applies to all members.

Code of Conduct

1. Respect: Treat fellow members with respect in all interactions.
2. Positive Communication: Promote a positive and supportive environment. Avoid derogatory or harmful comments towards others.
   
3. Engagement: Interact thoughtfully during engagement with members. 
4. Content Guidelines: ​

• Legality: Do not distribute or post illegal content or advocate unlawful acts.
  
• Respect and Safety: Refrain from threats, intimidation, or promoting violence, hatred, or discrimination.
• Language: Use appropriate and respectful language.
• Religious and Political Messages: Don’t share inappropriate religious or political content.
• Controlled Substances: Do not encourage the use of controlled substances. 

By adhering to the code of conduct, we will make our fly-fishing community even better for our members.
