How to get started.
Thank you for your interest and for reaching out about fly fishing. You have come to the right club if you want to embark on your fly fishing journey. We have a strong development approach for new members and new to fly fishing with weekly casting tuition and lots of information sessions to help improve your skills.
As you may know fly fishing is a journey and a lifetime of skills and craft attainment which is what makes it so enjoyable. We have a formal/structured development program, which you might like which takes you through all the aspects of fly fishing, from gear, to knots, to casting skills to on stream craft. We also have free weekly casting tuition at the casting pool in Fairfield on Saturdays from 9 am – 11am, as well as monthly fly tying and member meetings.
We understand how difficult it is to join a club and in particular how to start to learn fly fishing. Our club is very new member and mentoring oriented with strong programs to help you find your place in the club and with fly fishing.
If you want more information or to have a chat please contact our membership coordinators, Stuart and Owen at [email protected] or through our contact us page.
If you want to meet us in person and get a feel for the club which we would recommend. Please feel free to meet us at the casting pool on Saturday’s between 9 – 11am, or come to one of our many events, or email us and we will call you for a chat and help get you started on your journey.
